Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't had the time to post here in a while, I've been in hospital for a couple of days, because I got really worried with my symptoms. I had chicken pox and all of my symptoms have triggered like mad.

I wanted to ask everyone here that IS diagnosed with Lyme Disease, if they experience backpain. I found a quite hilarious and false statement on a doctor's blog, that Lyme doesn't necessarily cause back pain, whereas I read dozens of stories from lyme diagnosed patients that DO suffer from back pain.

Here's the quote from the blog -

"Back pain: This is generally due to a variety of common orthopedic disorders. Lyme is typically associated with large and small joint pain. It is rarely associated with back pain unless the sacroiliac joints are inflamed. Non-specific. "

I doubt this.

Let shed some light on this, lol.

Tick borne infection CAUSES many of those "common orthopedic disorders."

The docs have no idea!

This particular doctor is an LLMD. (that's the weird part).

I know lyme disease can cause all the orthopedic disorders he's talking about. I've got spondylosis, lumbar discopathy and sacroiliitis. Additionally I have arthritis, sinusitis, anxiety, cerebral demyelination, depression sometimes, ADHD, OCD. You name it.

And all of these disorders have had a sudden onset. (which only denotes that Lyme has triggered them). Basically out of a healthy 19 year old teen I was suddenly diagnosed with all the above.

The doctors that I've quoted sort of contradicts Dr. Burrascano's symptoms - and backpain and headaches were two of them. Whereas every single Lyme patient I know has backpain and daily headaches (and I am familiar with over 200 - 300 cases so far).

Thanks Carol, already taking fish oil, magnesium and hyaluronic acid.

I just don't afford any therapies though, too expensive and not covered by my insurance.

Back pain is one of my daughter's regular symptoms. Lyme or coinfections? Not exactly sure.

Definitely here - 2 of my worst symptoms - excrutiating back pain and headaches. Neck stiffness would be another, but goes along with back and head pain.

@jwall, seemingly EVERYONE has these two issues, I guess this LLMD is quite harsh on the symptoms and was either having a bad day or just didn't know what he was saying altogether.

Headaches and backpain (neck stiffness especially) are typical in Lyme Disease.
