My daughter (14) has been treating aggressively for 10 months.
I hope you realize it takes time! I stopped seeing two previous doctors because I thought it wasn't working (one I thought wasn't knowledgeable enough, one was alternative IV treatment) but I now know I was impatient.
Her doctor has given her Colostrum and D3 since the start and has recently been prescribing Transfer Factors and Broccoli Seed Extract and one called Immune Zen.
My daughter still feels poorly most of the time, but I feel she is improving slowly.
It may be good for her to be tested for MTHFR, as we found our daughter has a gene that can affect the body's detoxing capability. Saw immediate changes implementing additional detox. She was taking Toxi HMF and large doses chlorella. Now taking BioCleanse and Xeno Force.
Some are this doctor's own label, some can be googled for ingredients.
So, I would say our doctor believes she needs it even at her age. She is older than your daughter though.
Hang in there, Mom! I know this is tough.

chaga mushrooms - can use capsules or tincture and buy at amazon . Read the benefits at Pub Med Sloan Kettering many many articles ! They boost and BALANCE immune function. Have helped a friend of mine with HEP C enormously and she was barely alive - now she is having a life again . They also kill many cancer tumors ....Many different "lines " of cancer , also kill viruses and bacteria ( not sure about lyme ) .

- You said: "Our LLMD stated that we don't need to support her body like adults do." (end quote)
I strongly disagree with that. Strongly. So very strongly. As I think you may, too, so as to be seeking advice for that ever so important liver support (detox) and immune help.
Much can be done with an excellent diet, full of all kinds and colors of VEGETABLES as the main attraction.
Non-Gluten whole grains like QUINOA, etc.
PROTEIN from lean animal sources, grass-fed, organically raised, free range - especially eggs.
FATS from a variety of good sources, too.
Also keep in mind that trying to "boost" anything can spell disaster with lyme. But "boost" may have different definitions to different people.
Some folks want that blast of energy for a "boost." So, I'm always just a bit apprehensive with that term.
If "boost" means support (as I think it does to you), that is good.
As annxyzz posts, some medical mushrooms can be fantastic support, balance, modulation.
I'm not sure about the best liver support for a child. The ND thread may have that. Next post: -

- It's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL (lyme literate) doctor who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present. -----------------------
Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches.

BODY WORK links with safety tailored to lyme patients,

Everyone is different, of course, but for my 11 year old son, for detox we use:
Milk thistle and dandelion extracts Chorella Bionite Clay Activated Charcol(very occasionally) Epsome salt baths Skin brushing
Not everything at once but alternated the binders (clay, charcol and chorella) as needed. We use milk thistle and dandelion daily.
We also use very small amounts of the internal stuff. About 10-20% of the recommended dose.
Also we use bach flower remedies at night "rescue sleep spray" and soothing (non medicinal) essential oil blends on his temples.
When he was feeling really bad we would do short heating pads/blanket warm ups until a bit of sweat would form on his skin then sponge bath him to remove toxins from his skin
Sorry to hear your daughter is still feeling poorly!
All the best.

My 3 boys (5, 7, & 8) are all being treated for lyme. We do a lot to support the body while they are on abx. Here are the supplements they take daily:
* Juice Plus (nutritional support) * Vitamin D - we use mega doses b/c they are very deficient, but it is fat soluble so you need to monitor via bloodwork to avoid over dosing * Detox herbal combos from Nature's Sunshine - lymph detox and general all-around detox * Omega 3 * Milk thistle * Anti-oxidants (high ORAC) * Probiotics 50-100 billion per day * Saccharomyces boulardii
It just doesn't make any sense to me that a child would not need any additional support simply because they are a child. If their body is being assaulted by Bb, co-infections, and abx, then they need all the help they can get to detox and repair all the damage.

Thanks everyone for your posts. The basic consensus is that I need to provide supplements
that will support her body's ability to detox. This support comes from both detox supplements and
immune boosters. I have alot of these products because I take them so I could just cycle her in at lower doses.

My son is 12 and in treatment. For detox we were using the pekana products but our LLMD switched things up and he now takes nutramedix products burber, parsley and pinella drops with his interfase plus and boluoke. We were using sparga drops at one point as well.
We also do the detox baths and foot pads...yes foot pads. I debated back and forth as to whether the pads were a gimmick or not but figured what the heck....I'll try anything! Lol.
Well, imo...they WORK! I have noticed a difference in both of us since using the pads.
The ones we use are kenrico foot pads. They are available to buy on amazon. Here is some info. They do have different pads which work for different ailments/symptoms.
The second link can help you determine which pads to get
