Do LOTS of lymphatic drainage and take drainage remedies! THe same happened to me, Bart showed up on energetic testing and now it's gone but parasites & babs and borrellia are still concerns, the borrellia is retreating though. Heavy metals is a big concern now, abx stirs up HM's & HM's decrease the effectiveness of abx, so important to apply binders and do the ionic footbaths for speedy HM removals.

Thank you both for your thoughts. I'm reading about Bartonella now. It seems complicated to diagnose. I haven't figured out whether I should do something about it while I'm still on my initial doxycycline treatment.
I'll keep reading and hopefully when I do see a LLMD they will have something to say on this.

The best document you can read right now is the Burrascano Lyme Treatment Guidelines found here:
There is a section on bartonella. However, you will almost definitely have lyme and bartonella, so read the entire document.
In fact, the best thing you can do is STUDY this document because it will give you your education on this disease (or group of diseases) that you now have and what good treatment looks like.
Then, find a lyme doctor who follows the Burrascano protocol. It is a 4-pronged approach:
high dose combinations of antibiotics (to kill all the diseases the tick bites gave you)
supplements
diet
exercise (1 hour of weight lifting every other day)
All 4 are necessary in Burrascano's 25 years of experience, and in my experience also.
You can empasize the sections on the recent tick bite right now.
The doc is the key to getting rid of this disease. Can't emphasize that enough. With great treatment right now, you can get rid of this disease. So, study the document and see what great treatment looks like. Then, get to a good Burrascano style lyme doctor as soon as you possibly can.
Each tick-borne disease must be treated individually in order for you to get well, meaning that they each require different medications. As you have surmised, the doxy is insufficient in your case.
I got rid of lyme and its coinfections (bartonella and babesiosis) 7 years ago. Then, a few years ago I was rebitten with bulls eye rash. My lyme doc put me on bactrim to treat bartonella and babesiosis, and high-dose amoxicillin (with probinecid) to treat the lyme.
I got on this combo within a week of the bite.
It worked for me. In 30 days I was finished with my treatment. However, I never had any symptoms other than the rash, so mine was a simple case.
I really feel like with the bad reaction you are having (lymph nodes reacting like they are) you either got a very, very high germ load from these two bites or you were previously bitten so these bites put you over the edge quickly.

That happened to me when bitten last October. My lymph nodes swelled immediately, and for a few months, even with lymph drainage and abx i could feel some movement in the lymph under neck and arms, like something running back and forth. They are all down now with regular daily lymph drainage, sauna and whirlpool. It is possible you were already infected and this new bite put a new infection on top of the one your immune system was already keeping down, hence the swollen nodes right away. This is what put me over the edge immediately, like throwing gasoline on me and caused a cytokine storm.

Also would like to know about lymphatic drainage and...are swollen glands always Bart?
