I am new to this - in the past year my depression and anxiety got worse. Then, in the fall I started getting a numbness/ tingling in my right leg. I didn't think any of it - I attributed much of that to my job as I was not happy where I was. The numbness/ tingling wasn't getting better, so in Jan of this year, my doctor sent me for a MRI, which came back abnormal - white specs - but they seemed stable. In Feb I had surgery related to something else, and after my surgery, I noticed that my body was feeling off. I attributed much of that to the surgery and thought that I would get better. Two months later, I didn't get better. The symptoms are:
Vision - I started getting lots of floaters in my eyes; I was sensitive to light; started seeing after images of certain things and sparkles occasionally. I went to two diff ophthalmologists - who really weren't that helpful.
Hearing - I started hearing constant buzzing
Joint pain - My finger knuckles and toes were painful. Now, occasionally, knee pain
Neck pain - my neck was crackling - had an MRI and was told that I have arthritis in the neck
Numbness/ tingling - still have the numbness/ tingling. Last year, it was only the right leg and now seems to have migrated to hands and other leg too
Headaches - I have headaches - certain spots of the head feel sore
Concentration/ words - last year, I noticed that I had difficulty finding the right words and concentrating. Now, it seems to have gotten worse.
My family doctor ran initial bloodwork - it screened abnormal for lyme; then re-ran under western blot, which came back negative. I did not do the igenix test (as I didn't even know about it until I started researching lyme). I also had a spinal tap - but don't have those results yet. My family doctor put me on doxy just in case - can I still do igenix even though I am on doxy? Does the above sound like lyme? Based on what I've been reading on this and other healthboards - it sounds like it but would like to get input from others. I have an appointment to see a LLMD on Monday. Should I get another opinion from another LLMD?
Thanks in advance for your help.

It is rare to have a false positive Lyme ELISA test. It is way more common to have a false negative ELISA test. The Western Blot - did you get a copy of the report? If yes, does it report what bands were tested and what the result is for each band?
If you don't have a copy of the Western Blot test, I'd encourage you to try to obtain a copy. Certain bands are more specific to Lyme than others, and even if you did not test overall positive, there may be bands that did show up as positive on the test.
Many of your symptoms are common in those with Lyme. However, I'd recommend consulting an LLMD (Lyme-Literate Medical Doctor) for proper diagnosis, as we here are not doctors and cannot officially diagnose you.
You can make a post in the "Seeking a Doctor" part of this forum to find an LLMD near you.

I think you need to see an LLMD, as your symptoms sound like Lyme symptoms. The one you're seeing on Monday, is that one recommended by Lyme patients?
To get rid of all Lyme eye symptoms, I drink mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory antioxidant juice. You can find it in healthfood stores and online. I drink 1/2 oz in the am and pm. We're all different when it comes to what works.

You're story sounds similar to the many other ones I've read, plus or minus a few symptoms. We are all a litle bit different when it comes to Lyme and co-infections.
The Borrelia Burdorferi spirochete can burrow into any tissue and organ in the body. It can cause many different symptoms in people. Some of which you mentioned are hallmark signs.
I am PM'ing you with LLMd information.

Antioxidants (mangosteen juice) don't fix everyone's eye issues. I drank high antioxidant juice for months and months, and my eyes did not get one iota better because it is the INFECTIONS causing the eye problems... Antioxidants do not kill the infections in my case.
