Has anyone been diagnosed wtih meralgia paresthesia---I have recently been. It goes from top of thigh and down like a strip horrible burning, and when it happens you touch thigh and it feels hard and numb. It usually comes when I am like in a dept store walking, yet I have a little buggy the store has, sometimes in supermkt also, maybe the aggitation. Once in a while if stand in one place too long.. The burning can be bad like someone putting a hot curling iron on the area. Oh it came in church once, I had to leave. (the devil at work?)

I doubt if it is pinched nerve as said in researching or overweight? Then when I sit it eases.
sometimes it goes down and jabs in knee. I think it has to be from the lyme. I think also it is the same as radiculitis, inflamation of nerve root from groin area?

I also have and had different variations of acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans. And also at one point typical ACA.
The dr. who diagnosed me with the ACA is now retired. Good thing I before got a ltr. from him saying the condition on her lower legs etc. etc. then he has an unusual variation of lyme d. in this country.

I will note here, ACA is not only in Europe. It is in US but not common from borreliosis. The IDSA in their new evil guidelines say now "We have included ACA in our treatment regimen only for those who have recently traveled overseas!" What a farce.

Now I have this idiot lady derm. I am stuck with and I get "Oh that is only in Europe"BS. And if I show her articles and photos (I have my photos exactly the same) from internet, I get "That's from the internet" mockingly..sick of it all.

what really helped me several times was hyperbaric oxygen as at times I had ulcerations from it. The dr. who I was able to get HBO from now has been smashed out of the wound care center as most of the time he got it covered by ins. I live now in ugly eastern Pa. No private HBO clinics around here. I am from Pgh Pa and due to certain circumstances have to move back. I hate it here. Came here long time ago on a Bethlehem Stl transfer.

They have a private clinic called Pgh hyperbaric not far from where my sister lives. They said that a lyme dr. in western Pa. sends a lot of his patients there. The clinics are cheaper and work with alternative treatments and treat lyme d. in general. This American? health system is really "CORRUPT."
