I have a very bad time sleeping. Then it got better when I was on trazadone. Then I found myself falling asleep without the trazodone. So I weened off it. I was good for about 2 weeks. Now all my Sleeping issues are back.

I hate to go back on perscription pills.

5htp did not work for me. Nor Pharma Gaba nor Ltheanine or Gaba.
or meltonin

Xanax does but I hate to use that

Anyone try Kavinace does it work?

I tried kavinace. It enabled me to fall asleep but did not keep me asleep. I usually woke up with 3-4 hours.

My daughter who was having horrible insomnia, used it and it worked really well for her.

My LLMD told me to take 5mg melatonin CR and kavinace but it did not work for me.

So, I guess the reviews are mixed in our family.

I don't think it's in this set but other things there may be of interest to you.

Adrenal support throughout the day also helps the body's ability to sleep at night. So can liver support so that it's not so stressed at night.

My doc put me on it after she tested my neurotransmitters and I was low on GABA. If your sleep problems are due, in part, to not enough GABA it should help you some.

It did help me, but I was taking a lot of other stuff with it, like the supplement Sleep Link.

Remember, too,

A good quality of Magnesium is one of the best helpers to lower excitatory NMDA nerve transmitters that are elevated due to a toxic mix from TB (tick-borne diseases).

Magnesium - just by it's being there to lower NMDA - will help raise GABA levels.

Taurine, alone or with Magnesium &/or other key ingredients, will help, too. There are various forms of taurine, some better than others. Vegetarians are at risk for low levels so supplementation is often necessary.

So will liver support because that helps the liver better metabolize toxins, keeping the NMDA from going sky high.

There are other ways to also help. Avoiding anything that overstimulates, including food or beverage additives is just one other consideration of many:

So I tried it last night

Took one around 845 felt very relaxed. Not a high like a xanax or spacy...just very relaxed.

Then at 10 I went to bed. I took 1.5 time release meltonin as well as magnesium.

I slept through the whole night didnt get up once to go to the bathroom. No problems falling asleep drifted right off. Didnt wake up till alarm went off at 6.

I didnt have a werid hangover feeling today at all. And I feel great have good energy. Amazing what a good nights sleep can do for you.

I hope its not a fluke. I am going to Call down to my LLMD (the Famous One) and make sure its all good to keep taking.

The compounding pharmacy where I got it knows my LLMD very well and knows all the drugs I am on and is very Lyme Literate and he said it should be fine.

Just thought I would let you all know. Hope it lasts!

Could Kavinace be causing withdrawl symptoms the next day.

I was doing well but my anxiety is creeping back in and monday I woke up very bad. I was wondering if this is do to the fact that I only take one Kavinace.

I wonder if I am withdrawling from it?

I just tried the Kavinace again (tried it 2 yrs ago) and it has totally made my palpatations worse. I know it is suppose to relax you but it actually does just the opposite for me.

I was hoping it would help with my sleep issues also but after 2 weeks I am going to quit trying it. I had taken one and sometimes 2 a few hours before bedtime in thinking it would calm me down some so sleep would come easier...

I have been taking it for 20 days....thats the only new thing I have added into my regiment to help with sleep. I woke up Monday and all my panic that has been gone for several months is all back again...anxious...muscle twitching...nasuea cant eat.

did some research on phenibut i guess its pretty bad and dirty stuff. Not sure how they can sell this as a supplement

Scary stuff! I started taking Kavinace almost 2 weeks ago after neurotransmitter testing.

At first, I was sleeping better, falling asleep by 10 usually and not waking until 3 or 3:30 am to go to the bathroom. I usually could drift back to sleep until 5.

I just changed ABX and I don't know if it is the herxing or building up a tolerance for this med, but now I am waking at all hours.

Hmm... I guess I will give it some more time. I don't like taking anything that can be addictive.

I know dbpei, I am not sure if I am herxing or what?? But I am a mess...I havent been this bad in while. My lost dose was Sunday.

Its so hard to tell if you are flaring,herxing,backslidding....this was the only new thing I added into my regime. I took it for 20 days.

I resorted back to taking my trazodone to sleep at least I know what is in it ya know....

I hate not knowing what is going on with my body anymore.

My body feels like its vibrating

Are you guy's talking/taking Kavinace pm or reg?

I slept a bit with PM ,but this is where my post came in about tryptophan sp? and 5-HTP,

Causes problems for me ,so Doc said to try K-regular,,, will know soon....

And to add Trazadone....

Hard to say..Some day's hardly sleep more than hour on and off .. Then I'll have a day where sometime yesterday I feel asleep ,and we could barely get me moving for doc appt. at 2.today..

Sleep wasn't the only issue, weird , I'm not getting better about the dreams, like stuck in third world country stuff,,,,,,

I know I was doing much better with this a few months ago

Doc wants to know what , in my gut, do I think helped or hurt.....

I'm dazed...

Have sweat dreams. Nonna ...
