Mine is 96.8 at the lowest but typically sits around 97.5. I'm still trying to figure out a pattern-it seems it drops when I'm sleep deprived and if I eat something that I may have an intolerance to. And when I'm experiencing die off it's typically higher sometimes up to 98.1

my body temp is only 94.5F orally when I wake up in the AM. It goes up to 96 / 97 in the PM.
Isn't it too low even for morning temp?

I always ran a bit high, esp. in the evening. Sometimes even a light sweat. Doc said it was the Lyme. But sometimes it was right in the "normal" range.
Remember that the "temp" of the underside of the tongue, the outer ear canal... even the rectal temperature might be a bit lower than your "core temp".
Also, as Lyme often hits the thyroid gland, your temperature can fluctuate quite unpredictably during the day. I remember having chills some mornings later into treatment.

I have kept track of my body temperature for over a year now and I have found that where you place your thermometer makes a big difference. My first morning temperature taking the rectal route is almost always higher (sometimes by as much as 1 or 2 degrees) than my temperature taking orally, under the arm or the ear route. Apparently, compared to the rectal area, the mouth, ear canal and under the arm area are more prone to the influence of the air temperature.
So personally, I consider the rectal temperature to be more accurate.

That's what I have always heard, to add one degree to your themometer reading when you take your temp under the arm but I have found that my rectal temperature can vary from my underarm temperature by as much as a couple of degrees sometimes. But then again, on occassion, my underam temperature will read within a 1/2 of a degree or closer of my rectal temperature. So, I have just been taking my temperature the rectal route because I just feel as though it's more accurate.

Also, for most people, the body temperature will usually go up in the evening hours. Actually, having a body temperature of 99 degrees or even higher in the late evening hours is considered normal.
You can read more about that on the links down bellow.
The body temperature is usually at it's lowest first thing in the morning and at it's highest in the evening. This is a natural body rhythm. This morning my body temperature was 98.2 degrees and now this evening my body temperature is 99.2 degrees. But I feel fine and I do not feel feverish. But if I want my body temperature to come down all that I have to do is to drink enough water until I start peeing crystal clear urine and then I will be freezing. Drinking alot water/fluids will usually drop my body temperture by a couple of degrees. And then I will feel like crap.
And if anyone wants to raise their body temperature then you might want to drink less water/fluids and eat more carbs and eat more calorie rich foods. Eating that way has increased my body temperature.
