I was treating for about 8 months with Suprax and Azithromycin, orally. During that time two of my bands (39,41 IgM)went away. For a short period, i had IgG bands but they went away as well. I went off the abx in Jan because of thyroid cancer surgery and treatment. I was retested in March and May and now the IgM band 41 is back, the IgM 23 never went away. 39 never came back.
Do I still have this bacteria in me? The doc said something about markers and the bands don't always go away. The thing is to make sure new ones don't come back??? Is that right? When you get rid of Lyme(if you ever do), do those bands all go away or will you always have some? I am confused. And right now not on any abx and kind of think I should be?

Oh ok, thats good. I like and trust my doctor but after many let downs by other docs, I always second guess. I have my joint pain that he says will prob not go away. Many people are left with continuing issues?? Thanks so much

I was tested three times for coinfections but I don't know much about that. If its the same as Lyme where the lab testing/results are poor or inaccurate. I don't like the way I feel but I have a thryoid issue that the docs are trying to fix and my symptoms could be from that. I don't know what to think, headaches, palpitations, dizziness, loss of appetite although I do get hungry, fatigue, night sweats, new joint pain now in my feet and difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. Being hyperthyroid can cause all that (except new joint pain). so I guess I have to wait til the adjustment in the synthyroid takes effect and see if these symptoms go away. I am getting paranoid.

Could be babesia... the testing is VERY bad for coinfections. You need a Dr who will do a trial run of meds for each coinfection to see if you respond.
The joint pain could also be from candida/yeast.

Side note -- I would avoid synthroid (synthetic), and instead go to a doctor who treats with natural, bio-identical hormones.
Take good care.
