Yes, very possible.
How much are you taking? Are you taking it on an EMPTY stomach? Then wait 30 to 40 minutes before eating, to give the coated tablets time to leave the stomach and enter the small intestine.
About 25% of the enzymes are absorbed into the body, where they reduce the amount of fibrin in the bloodstream.
I take systemic enzymes when I wake up, which is the only time I can be sure my stomach is empty. I usually have a glass of iced tea and read the paper or on the computer, to keep my mind off of being hungry.
When I first tried Serrapeptase, I was looking for a reduction in pain. I didn't get it, but now I wonder if maybe I didn't get the dose high enough.
I switched to Wobenzym, and within two weeks I no longer woke up every day with a splitting headache. This was on twelve tablets daily, in one dose.
Systemic enzymes reduce the fibrin in the bloodstream, which strips the biofilm that may be coating clumps of bacteria. When the white blood cells notice the bacteria and phage them, the neurotoxins in the Lyme bacteria are released, causing herx symptoms.

I just started and have just taken 1 pill in the am right when I wake up, so yes on an empty stomach. How much is recommended per day, do you know?
I wanted to at least try it and see what happens, but figure I may need to try a different enzyme at some point, but this one seems the most affordable?

I think the bottle says three tablets for a dose.
If you google for research articles, the physicians in Europe use up to 30 tablets daily of Wobenzym to "force the therapeutic response."
So my dose of 12 tablets did not seem out of line.
You could probably increase your dose by one or two tablets daily, until you get to a point that you feel some results.

quote: According to Dr. Nieper, 30,000 I.U. of Serrapetase per day for 12 to 18 months is sufficient to remove fibrous blockages from constricted coronary arteries, as confirmed in many of his patients by ultrasound examination.
. You should google for articles about Serrapetase dosage, or research.
