Does anyone use this? If so, have you had any adverse reactions?

- Do you have a link to the exact product?
Is this formulated specifically as a mouthwash and in a proper dilution with water?
If not, I would not suggest it as that concentration of essential oils can burn tender mouth tissue.
I'm not sure what the dilution should be; could be one drop to a gallon of water or one drop to a quart. But is vital that it not be too strong.
And, some kinds of essential oils, some brands are NEVER intended for ingestion. Some brands are not food grade.
Some essentials oils can cause seizures. I don't recall all that are in Thieves but the clove oil alone can really burn if too concentrated.
Thieves is usually intended as aroma therapy, still diluted with a carrier oil or in a diffuser.
I suggest this instead: -----------------------
For help with the mouth tissue, I have found Auromere Ayurvedic Herbal Mouthwash to be excellent. Even with many essential oil, the blend is just right even for my tender mouth. I can use it straight for a good swish.
If too strong on some days, I put few drops in some water.
To stretch it, I pour it into a smaller bottle with a dropper and use just 2 droppers per swish. That's plenty.
I also sometimes just put a few drops into my mouth after a glass of water to help mouth combat bacteria or viruses that may be causing mouth ulcers I've been battling for a long time.
This seems to help, in addition to Sea Buckthorn Oil (from Rose Mountain Herbs).

- As a toothpaste: wet brush, shake, apply one - two drops. Rinse mouth well but you can also then use another drop in 1/2 cup of water for a gargle.
For the Liquid - Drops. You may need to get a dropper LID with this. The photo does not show that. Be sure to ask first.
Mountain Rose Herbs Grapefruit Seed Extract - 2 oz. $16.
. . . This Grapefruit seed extract is combined with glycerin where as most suppliers have their extracts based in propylene glycol. . . .
- Same site for SEA BUCKTHORN OIL

I use Young Living thieves too. I combine the thieves toothpaste with a little bit of my regular toothpaste (Sensodyne). I've tried the mouthwash....
But, I swear by the oil!!!
If I'm yeasty, I add a few drops of the oil to some water, swish and swallow.
I use it to disinfect my toothbrush as well. Put it on as an insect repellent.
Have applied it to poison ivy to make the rash disappear.
My nephew used it to get rid of poision oak (gone in 2 days, after several tries of unsuccessful traditional treatment).
Had a friend apply it to multiple raised bee stings (he had about 20), and they all went away after about 30 minutes...
I keep the spray in my purse for disinfecting when in public restrooms and such, or if someone in the office is walking around sick and spreading germs.
Absolutely one of the best things ever introduced to me.

- Julie,
Thanks for the link. I have had their Theives essential oil but did not know it came in other formulations, all ready to go. That sure helps take the guess work out of it, especially with their whole "oral care" section.
Young Living is of excellent quality. -
