I posted before about a reaction to a dental cement. I tired naet, it helped some, but just for a day.The chiro said I am stuck in the flight/fight stress reaction.

I've had this reaction(increased heart rate, shallower breathing, decreased sleep/appetite, worse tinnitus) with other foods/meds, but is usually temporary, or stops when I stop what's causing it.

I can't get away from the cement unless i remove the crown, and my dentist is significantly dragging his feet on that. Is there something else i can do to stop my body responding this way?

i've tried meditation but between the symphony of noises in my ears, and the shallow breathing it's not working very well. Maybe beta blockers? Or would that just decrease my heart rate and not affect amything else?

Be sure infection(s) addressed properly.

Be sure liver support is on board so that the neuro-toxic-excitability that is JUST PART OF LYME journey can calms down.

The more toxic, stressed, overworked the liver, the more that adrenal stress hormone rocket fuel effects. (I know, it's very horrible to feel that way).

MAGNESIUM is your best helper.

And FISH OIL.

Also LIVER & ADRENAL support.

BIOLOGICAL DENTIST:

See if you can find a "biological dentist" and one who is also ILADS educated and LL would be best. Ask at your lyme support groups. and Google:

Have you been assessed for heavy metals, mold, etc.? These will send the flight or flight reaction to the moon.

Parasites, too, need to be considered.

If you are sensitive to scents, chemicals, etc. you might also consider stuff here:

I agree with Keebler about the magnesium and fish oil. They have worked the best for my chronic anxiety.

Is there anything else that might be causing this? Thyroid too high? Cortisol too high? New med, supplement, or anything else?

Not saying it isn't the cement, just wondering. Dental toxins are a HUGE deal and very hard to avoid completely. My sympathies.

I'll start to increase the fish oil and mg to see if it helps.Pretty sure it's the cement, started 1/2 hr after being placed, and gets worse if I put a sample of it in my mouth.

Probably just the straw that pushed my nervous system over the edge. Can't get the infections under control because I can't tolerate any meds/herbal/energy medicine.

Maybe this is just the way it is now. thanks for the replys.
