I'm new to a lot of this. I'm reading so much about what everyone is going through and was wondering if there is a light at the end of the long tunnel? Hope would be great at this point for me.

It is a very looong tunnel.
I have been sick for about 8 years and have another neuro. condition complicating matters.
After many treatment failures I finally got myself into one of the top LLMD's out there. I knew if I had any chance of getting better I needed to get to the best.
By the second month of treatment with him I felt close to 75% (but that is with 8 years of off and on treatment). I have since had some set backs and had to change up my meds BUT I did have a couple of months of feeling better then I can remember feeling in years.
It did not last but it does tell me that I can get there, it will just take time. Time and alot of attention to things other then abx.'s. Healing from this is a multi pronged approach and requires a comprehensive mind set.
Yes, I believe I am getting better from treatment - but not always in a linear fashion.

I echo what everyone else has said............it is a LONG, HARD battle, but it can be won.
DD is doing so much better than even a year ago. A year ago we thought there would be no end to this nightmare. Now there is hope that we are coming to the end....she is off all abx, and we are only working on "clean up" now, such as adrenal and thyroid issues.
Please stay strong. You will win the fight!

YES! I am feeling nearly 100% lately. Bart treatment has been what I needed, and constant detox.
I think that the best advice I can add to the great advice above (Doctor is KEY!) is that for me it was about having the patience to find and treat the illnesses. Unfortunately, I am too used to a culture in which there are quick answers and quick fixes. These TBI just aren't like that.
What has gotten me this far? Diet (this is way more important than you might think, on many levels), antibiotics, doctor, supportive family/friends/workplace, rest, supplements, massage, chiropractic care, physical therapy.
I am not 100% yet - I can't be off the meds for too long without starting to have symptom creep. However, that day is coming.
I also think that I need to add that the support and experience on this board are invaluable. No one else, no matter how supportive, can understand what you are going through but those who have been there (or are there now). There is a lot of wisdom here.
Take care, and don't lose hope.

Like a lot of people here I'm not 100%, maybe more like 90. But without treatment I'd be more like 30-40%.
I have high hopes that since I got a really good LLMD 4 months ago that I'll be cured. It's mostly babesia symptoms bothering me now, something I didn't realize I had until last November.

Thank you all. I got all my test back and along with the lyme, I also have cat scrath fever, intestenal infect, yeast, staph and my adrenal gland is under active. I'm leaving for Orlando July 5th for a 6 week treatment which I look forward too. I hope the long flight from HI will not kill me. It's a wonder that I'm still "standing" (not really mostly in bed).

My opinion is that many treatments may take you to 70%, sometimes rather fast, or in months. Which is fast. Some people take longer, but if you don't give up, you'll get to 70% (unless you started too late...).
Most people do get better, I feel.
The problem starts after, from 70-90% will probably take much longer. Much harder to find solutions, but still some will reach that if they persist. It is counted in months or years, usually.
To reach 100%, it is also possible, but it takes even longer and many many trials and errors.
I got there, with the help of energetic tests (ART and own O-ring tests), photons, etc. It doesn't mean I won't relapse, but I am enjoying every day of these last 3 years. I thought I was doomed but was mistaken!!
It took me ONLY 4 years to reach 100%. 'ONLY' came from my lyme doctor, who said he was amazed to see how fast I got well. I told him: "4 whole years non-sstop treatement is fast??"
He swore to me, that as bad as I was, 4 years is very short and he does not have any other patient that got from so bad to healed (his words again) so fast.
My daughter is well, not treating lyme, too, but she relapses more than I do (about once a year or once every 2 years). Her treatment is fast (when she relapses, a couple of weeks does the job though).
Hang on, the key is NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
NEVER STOP TREATING until you reach where you wanted to reach.
and for me, FOLLOW YOUR GUT first, not ONLY your doctors' gut!!!

Most of us have multiple infections so as we kick one down another one takes over. Sometimes I didn't recognize what was happening and thought I was herxing, relapsing or having side effects.
If I knew then what I know now, I am sure I would have gotten better much faster. My last infection is protomyxzoa which you keep all your life and have to control with diet. I will never be "normal" again but I will hopefully be in remission. I am 90% now. I have been sick 6 years and fighting it over four years.

My niece just tested positive for Lyme. She was having panic attacks and then recently has broken out in sores all over her body. After being on Doxy for a month, all the sores have healed up, and she is feeling more calm than she has in years. She is very excited.

After being misdiagnosed for decades, and treating for 4 years (last 2 mos. on IV), I feel I'm at 80%. There is HOPE!

I can't put a percentage yet where I'm at, but,
I am clearer headed. This is huge to me, as I thought silently to myself for years I was going into early Alzheimer's. (In my 40's)
