Not sure if this is to go in medical questions.. but is interesting... geesh almost all of my supplments have this in it.

And some companies use mag. stearate as a lubricant for making capsules, so they don't always have to list it on the label.

Best option is to get herbs in bulk...no fillers, binders, etc.

Good tip on the herbs... seems it's hard to find supplements (even the top brands) without this in it. [Frown]

I have some KAL magnesium glycinate I ordered awhile back that has a some stearate mixed in with it. Bought it online without checking the label, assuming it was pure glycinate.

Thorne does not use mag stearate.

I have Twin Labs niacin which has vegetable stearate - I have been assuming/hoping it is not the same thing.

I agree, it is very hard to find brands that don't use them. I end up buying more and more by Thorne, but they don't have everything I want/in the blend/isolation that I want.
