Yes, I have this herx symptom as well. I take 50 mg. of metoprolol at a time which lowers my heart rate. At one point I had been on as much as 50 mg. tid, but I haven't needed that dose in ages.

Thanks koo. I'm actually on metoprolol. Perhaps I should up the dosage a little.

I restarted treating Babesia and my heart palps and increased hr are back. I think it's part of Babesia herxing.

I agree with Jamers... it's a babs herx. Happened to me! My HR got so high I had to go to the ER twice in about 10 days. Finally figured out it was the babs.

Restarted Mepron two weeks ago bring on the palps and fast HR. Freaks you out a bit but has to be die-off herx. Sucks really but were winning the battle.
60-100 HR is normal resting rate as you probably know. But higher then what you are used to.
