Well..... I did tell allergist about my daugter's recent positive lyme culture. Wasn't sure that I would but we started discussing GI issues, which have been bad of recent and he said he wished he knew what was causing it.
I told him about DDs diagnosis.
He told me he had read the recent Yale study and summed it up for me. Doesn't mean he wasn't supportive, but that is the information that many doctors are exposed to.
I was hoping for some information on the connection between food allergies and Lyme disease.
On my previous post somebody said that if the doc was from CT at least he would be informed/supportive. That made me feel better, but I forgot to remember how close my allergist is to Yale.....he probably has many professional connections there.
In the end I don't think he is convinced either way, but based on that study suggested anti inflammatories over antibiotics.
This is not easy is it?
I still have to say that he is a great allergist and a compassionate person. I just didn't get any further in my search for possible connections between her symptoms.
Her GI symptoms are bothering him immensely, but we have not gotten any answers as to the cause. I appreciate a compassionate doctor very much.

I had a similar experience with a Yale resident doctor (4th yr) that was a neuroligist examinar at the VA.
What a closed minded woman...woe to our returning troops with any TBI.
Funny thing is a few well-known llmds are Yale allumni.
Look into getting a product called GI Revive. I was given the powder formula from my hormone doctor to help my GI tract to heal. Tasted great too.

The GI Revive is good stuff. My husband used it for awhile when his gut was all messed up. It did help.
