I have abdominal pain in the area of my spleen.

Looking back I have had pain often there in the course of treatment, but even before.

(During my pregnancy I was hospitalized for pain in the same place that was so bad they thought it was kidney stones.......)

Anyway with my recent reaction to Mepron (have been off for 4 days now), why would I be having bad spleen pain now?

I know activated babs causes spleen issues.....is it die off from the short course of Mepron? IDK...I know it is still in my system because although the headaches are better they are still there and pretty intense.

OK

Thanks so much. So happy to be able to turn here.

I had the same pain that would come and go during my first round of Mepron last year. It has not re-occurred during round 2

Most likey a babs flare, but could also be from Lyme.

Babesia die off (RBC debris) will go to lymphs & spleen and can cause inflammation etc.

coinfections like Bart/Babs are known to cause spleen (left side under rib cage) issues.

That makes a lot of sense. In addition to rapid weight gain I went up a cup size and had intense pain in my breast my hubby was happy about the cup size but not me. There are lots of lymph glands in the breasts right?

Also....it was six years ago would babs likely flare during a pregnancy? I had such bad pain that has never been explained. When it wasnt kidney stones they treated me like a pregnant drug seeker. I could not even stand to care for my two others.

Also this is the daughter who has Lyme confirmed so probably babs too. Damn.

Thank you for sharing experiences. It is so helpful to me.

The breasts do not contain lymph glands. Lymph glands are clustered under the arms and in the groin mostly and others spread about in the body.

Lyme can cause swollen breasts, milk production, and breast pain. See this in list of lyme symptoms from page 10 of Burrascano:

"Unexplained milk production;
breast pain"

Many have posted about these symptoms.
