I have read that a bull's eye rash (EM) is not always red with a white center. Can it sometimes be a bruise-like rash (I'm tan but not that dark in skin tone)?
Can someone please look at the link below and let me know if this are a bull's rash from Lyme or is it another tick-borne diease? The photos were taken 6 - 12 days after removing an embedded deer tick.

Be 100% certain that no mouth parts were left behind. If they were, they should be incised (with a surgical blade) at a doctor's office.
Most doctors won't agree but it can save much heartache later to be sure now. -

This is exactly what my rash looked like when I was first exposed. The Dr's told me not to worry about it and it went undiagnosed for three years.
Needless to say I am not doing so well. Please get to a LLMD asap. Early diagnosis is the key!

In my opinion yes. My 15 year old daughter just go back from a missions trip with our church and went to OK and TX.
She had 4 rashes, 1 of them looked just like yours. The others were bright red round circles.
She saw an LLMD 5 dayas after she got home and was diagnosed with lyme.
She is currently on doxy.

Yes, from your description and the pictures, you meet the CDC case definition of Lyme disease. Keep the pictures -- they are your proof. Do NOT wait for blood tests, as they may be falsely negative at this stage (they are antibody tests, and you may not yet be producing antibodies). There is nothing controversial about it -- get a doctor to prescribe antibiotics ASAP. You stand the best chance of a full recovery at this stage.
