I am getting very sudden sharp stomach pain on my right side very low near my waist. It comes very suddenly lasts a while and then goes away. It's fairly severe when it comes and is completely new today.
Other than appendicitis (which I'm fairly sure it is not) what could it be caused by?

Yes, appendicitis does come to mind but there are so many possibilities because pain in the abdomen/pelvic region a lot of times is referred pain and does not necessarily originate where it hurts.
If it continues you'll need to talk to your doc but one possible thought - maybe an ovarian cyst?
Hope you feel better.

I have that too sometimes, I think on me it's a gland.. really low on right side.. it swelled up when I was a kid, that's the only reason I know it's there.
