Curious about what to expect from Amantadine and Biaxin. I was on Biaxin before, couldn't do plaquinil. llmd wants me to try it again with amantidine. I'm not gonna start til after my vacation in august... I feel like coasting for a bit, so staying the course a bit longer with my current protocol.
Worried a bit about what I have read about it's increase on seratonin, as I am also on, Cymbalta and sometimes tramadol. And if it does that, will it be hard to get off of like antidepressants are?
Thoughts appreciated.

I did it for about 6 months with Biaxin. It was a good drug for me. First week or so it can make you feel woozy, but then it passes.

The biggest thing I noticed when starting amantadine was sleep disturbances. It gave really intense fight or flight type dreams, but not necessarily nightmares. I also slept a lot less and it increased the insomnia.
I had done plaquenil + biaxin prior to it so there was no herxing. I had tried cymbalta but it left me feeling drugged and not myself so I can't say how they interact.
I am taking it to once a day now in the mornings and it doesn't mess with sleeping as much. The strange dreams went away on their own
