I was without GSE for over a week, and started using again beefing up the dose to ten drops two times a day.

I've always suspected a sinus infection because I'll get just a very dull ache around one eye.

I also started putting drops in water and spraying into nostrils.

I notice drainage immediately each time I use GSE. And I'm getting this odd smell which is awful.

It's not putrid. It's sometimes a perfumy smell and usually just kind of sweet.I can feel a thick mucous in the back of my throat.

So I'm thinking it's not from a bacterial infection, but maybe yeast?

Wouldn't sinus infection from bacterial drainage smell rotten? I've had that smell after a bad cold.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing about bart. My LLNP told me that sinus issues and sore around the eyes are usually bart.

Kind of sweet sounds like blood or an infection to me. But I'm no doc, so I'm not really sure.

I have lived with crazy yeast for a year now. I've never smelled anything sweet though.

Crypto is as good idea. Also, saline water (netti pot).

Forgive me if I'm wrong, doesn't GSE nasal spray contain glycerin? I remember right after you spray it some of it drains back down from the nose into the throat. You can taste is sometimes, slightly sweetish, slightly bitter too.

It will help clear your nose and sinuses so you should move more mucus out. This is a good thing. When the mucus doesn't move and builds up it causes infection.

GSE nasal spray is great for treating sinus infections. It has helped clear ones that oral antibiotics didn't touch.

Keep using the spray, my ND recommended 2 squirts each nostril 3-4x daily for infections. Back down to 2x daily as a preventative.

I made my own nasal drop solution using an empty bottle from saline drops and just added the liquid drops to water.

The smell started before I added the nasal drops to my regimen.

I hadn't thought of bart re: the eye, but wonder because I've never tested positive and don't have many bart symptoms.

But I've had some line dot rashes again just recently so am wondering.

I'm going to ask a new LLMD who I'm seeing in a couple of weeks. I've heard she's open to info that patients bring to her.

I will keep using the spray Sammy. I think it is working.

I have been reading lately about how yeast can be the culprit behind chronic sinus infections. I have been putting probitoics in my nedi pot (I checked with my LLMD and she agreed). This is definately effective!!! MUCH more so than the salt that I usually put in the nedi pot!

I'm going through this right now too. It would be good to compare notes. My LLND thinks I have bart, although I have not tested positive by blood test. She also thinks I have some chronic sinus/dental infection that has contributed to all of this. Thinks ozone treatment may help.

I've since stopped the GSE packywacky because they changed the formula. It's no longer bitter. It's made in CA and they have a law about using the old formula.

I had called the company when I noticed the difference. She said this is as effective, but didn't seem the same.

My health food store recommended another one insead, but haven't bought it yet.

I periodically have these smells. I'm on new Buhner protocol for bart and think it might be stirring things up in my sinuses. But I have less drainage.

My left eye is still a little sore in the socket.

I'm happy to say that my sinus issues have cleared up with parasite treatment. All of my hay fever and pollen allergies are gone. I breathe so much better now. :)

My sinuses started draining as soon as I took the meds. Now even the parasitic herbs are doing the the trick for me (parasite treatment is an ongoing thing), but the meds made the biggest impact.

Hi Marz, the old GSE extract liquid changed formular but there is one with the same ingredients named something with "citrididal" still made by the company.

Sinus is a mysterious thing for me. I had long been suffering with multiple chemical sensitivities and not a single day without degrees of congestion and headache, eye pressuer, eye irritations.

Recently I noticed salt/vC water can cause drainage and clear it up soon after I drink it. As well as GSE and minocyclin which I just started 2 days ago.

So why does sinus has such reactions?

I have been adding 2 drops of GSE to my neti pot, along with the saline packs to flush my nose during this cold.

So far for about an hour after each flush, I smell bubble gum constantly.

I think it is the GSE that smells like bubble gum.
