The last time I logged on here was probably about 12 yrs ago..So SAD to see so many new people suffering and trying to cope with this disease. I thought I was doing well until I found a tick on me. Started abx right away but all tests came back negative. I feel as lost as I did the first time around. I did not feel any symptoms from bite and started to feel sick when I started abx. Should I continue them, should I take another test [confused]

Sorry, Libra, to hear the news.

Since you did so well the first time, I would say YES continue abx until all symptoms are gone (at least 8 weeks +). Remember, you need to be on 200mg doxy twice per day (not the standard 100 they normally give).

I would also pulse Artemisinin to cover Babs and take something like Cat's Claw to hit Bart, in case you acquired these common infections also.

Don't despair. The fact that you were healthy all those years means YOU ARE HEALTHY. You will get thru this.

For those of us who are chronic, that is a different story, imo. I don't think abx are much of a help to us. We have so much more work to do on detoxing, parasites, heavy metals, deficiencies, mold, etc. All of those things need to be addressed. But I have a feeling it may be different for you. I sure hope so!

Wishing you the best,
Tammy

Again.... Welcome back! Yes, TONS of newbies!!

The testing will not be valid for about 6 wks. Even then it may not be.

Maybe the tick did not have Lyme this time around!! Not all ticks carry disease.

In what ways do you feel sick on the antibiotics? Is it a side effect or is it a result of the antibiotics attacking the bacteria, do you think?

Thanks all nice to be back with people that understand ...

Pug- I had NO energy, headaches, then insomnia. I was drinking a lot of lemon water to get rid of toxins as much as I could. I am rusty with all of this and have to start the process of trial and error again I guess and research..I am not sure if it was the abx working or making it worse [Frown]

Lymetoo- I was thinking that too..maybe it was not infected...I do not even remember which doctor at the time worked the BEST for me..back then very few choices..

The dr told me to keep going with the abx for 3 more weeks and YES it is only 100mg twice a day so maybe not enough...sigh
