If this is also known as the lyme PCR test, then yes I had it done. Was the only test that was ever positive for lyme for me.

It's the one where you collect first morning urine on 3 different days after taking abx-It's by Igenex.
I'm not seeing too much info.

Yes, I had it done about 9 months after I completed lyme treatment--so this was over 6 years ago.
I went to the lyme doc fearing that I was relapsing. He had me take meds for 10 days or so and then had me do this test (also called the antibiotic challenge test).
I remember having to do something first thing in the morning with my urine. After doing it a number of days, I sent off the whole thing to the lab.
I went back to my doc for the results of the test and was very, very happy to hear that there was no dead lyme bacteria found in my urine. None at all.
That meant that my symptoms weren't from lyme.
That peace of mind was wonderful. All that was wrong with me was that I was in menopause.
So, in my case, it was worth the money. I don't remember paying for it, so it couldn't have been a very high price.
My understanding is that this test tells you if you still have lyme disease.

I think it's called the Lyme Dot now. I had the LUAT and it was negative. You need to dose up on abx before the test. My LLMD gave me hefty shots of abx.
I don't think it's a PCR test.

I did it a few years ago to prove I had lyme because my blot wasn't all that.
I don't think the other world uses this test, could be wrong.
At the time it made me very happy to see I was positive.

OMG..maybe that's why mine was negative. The doc didn't give me any abx. At all.
I hadn't been on any in months and months. Jerks.
She did not want me to show lyme. She was wanting to treat my "migraines" and that's it.
Wow, the things you learn in hindsight.

Did most of you take it during a flare (around your period?) or doesn't it matter?
