When I was in Africa and accidentally drank some local water, I got "traveler's diarrhea" which is a parasite in the intestines, per the doctor.
I was actually hospitalized for dehydration over night. The treatment was flagyl. It fixed me right up.
U.S. doc was very surprised at the use of flagyl for this problem. Said it was advanced compared to what it was being used for in the States at that time. (This was quite a few years ago.)

A few people recently told me Babesia is susceptible to flagyl.
I do get big time frontal headaches from flagyl but had always associated that with Bart (maybe it is Babesia)

It is also prescribed for parasites.

flagyl is used for amebiasis and for cryptic chlamydia as well

I get a herx from flagyl... but then later feel really good. I think it's helpful for me.

It is used for H. Pylori (stomach ulcers). It is used for Blastocystis Hominis, and for certain parasites.

Definitely H. Pylori. Wife had this and was given Flagyl among other ABX.
