Does anyone out there suffer from morning anxiety? I wake up every morning in a terrible state of mind with an impending fear of doom.

Is there a natural remedy for this. I have taken antidepressants, but they don't help that much for the anxiety.

Is that normal and if not what can be done to treat it?

Homesick, I get this every single day now for the past 6 months or so. I feel overwhelmed with fear and a sense that I am going to collapse or die and that all is misery. It makes me shake and cry at times. It passes almost always as the day goes on , but it is HORRIBLE. I think it could be the lyme affecting out emotions-lyme is notorious for messing with mental states. Feel better. Jess.

Chastain, yes it is so overwhelming and I feel like I am going to choke or something.

Libra, the insomnia is the worst, if only I could sleep it would help. This is harder to deal with when we are so exhausted.

I wonder if there is a natural remedy, herbs or something. I don't do well on psych meds.

Homesick, I know it feels exactly like that-its a constricting kind of anxiety. It is absolutely terrifying. Idk if there are any herbs that might help. I share your dislike of psych meds. Antidepressants actually made me suicidal. I refuse to take any psychotropic drugs at this point. Jess.

Yes, my anxiety is sky high RIGHT when I wake up. I also think it is causing me to wake up super early and not sleep well. Anxiety is one of my worst symptoms. I used to have anxiety, but this is a whole new world of anxiety...I have no control over it and it is ever-present, really horrible.

Oddly enough, when I did cortisol testing, my am cortisol was low...
