I have insomnia - I know it's awful.
Do you have anything for it? Tried different things?
I used to do tradazone, now Ambien, melatonin.
Sorry you are still (or again) fighting this thing.

Major symptom for me. LLMD has me on a special protocol because Ambien etc. either gave me headaches or I did not sleep.
I still wake up and don't feel rested but at least I am not lying awake for hours.

I've had insomnia ever since last friday (lunar cycle?). Melatonin and/or a sublingual b 12 just before bedtime helps.

Same withe soccermama. LLMD has me taking a bunch of meds for insomnia.
In the past I used elavil and had a lot of success with keeping me asleep. Trazadone made me wired for some reason

I was on lunesta for 6 years and over the past year it slowly stopped working. I was waking up 3-4 times a night and sometimes only getting 2 or 3 hours sleep.
I quit it 5 days ago and in its place started taking kavinace and 1/2 klonopin. I can't believe the difference in my sleep. I sleep much more soundly and am not waking all night.
I can't say that I wake up alot more refreshed because I do but only a little. I feel so much better being off the lunesta. I know klonopin is not the answer but I am working on another solution. At least for now I am finally sleeping almost through the night.
Insomnia is one of my worse problems and has been since the beginning....if only I could figure out a good solution but I am working on that.....
I will not ever take sleeping pills again after feeling the difference...I will probably always have to take something though.

Insomnia is the pits. It is really horrible to feel exhausted and not be able to sleep. The biggest culprits for causing it are bartonella and protomyxzoa. If you treat those, maybe you will begin to sleep better.
Jujube seeds are very relaxing and help me fall asleep. GABA is also helpful for relaxing. My methyl cycle mutations caused me to have insomnia way before I ever had lyme disease. Treating it has made a huge difference. If you take drugs like ambien, you will not get restorative sleep. It basically just knocks you out.
If you have the cbs mutations, then your body is making too much sulfate and ammonia. The ammonia requires BH4 molecules to detox it out which depletes the BH4. BH4 is needed to generate serotonin. Serotonin is converted to melatonin which is what puts you to sleep. So changing to a low protein and low sulfur diet might help.
If you have been treating since 2004, then maybe you should think about what you might be missing. Protomyxzoa is a biggie. Methyl cycle mutations contribute to disease.
