Hi everyone, I am still waiting for my LLD appointment with hopeful anticipation, Meanwhile I am trying to learn as much as I can. My questions is can you take antibiotics along with vitamins and homeopathic remedies? Or is it best to take antibiotics with vitamins and supplements and then move on to just homeopathic remedies once the dust has settled? I also have want to know how to get Magnesium. Right now I am taking 500 mg a day and an Epsom salt bath once a day. I already feel better.
Thanks [confused]

Can you take abx with vitamins and herbs? Absolutely! Nutritional supplements will only help to boost your immune system, aid in detoxification, and relieve the symptoms of stress.

Many here take magnesium as it seems to be particularly lacking in Lyme patients. I take it for other reasons, and my chiropractor (who studied nutrition) recommended Magnesium Citrate as the most absorbable form. A large bottle of 400 mg tabs cost about $15 at Whole Foods market, if you have one nearby.

Most seafood has magnesium, as well as some nuts (cashews in particular).

B vitamins are especially important for maintaining metabolism, and Vitamin C is known as "the great detoxifier" - it can be helpful to rid your body of dead bacteria and allergens. Vitamin E preserves oxygen in the blood. I have taken these three daily, for years.

Also think about Cod Liver Oil, which supplies vitamins D and A, as well as the "fish oil" fatty acids that are important to brain health.

Many here report that Curcumin/Tumeric (the spice that makes mustard yellow) is invaluable for controlling inflammation.

I wish you complete success on your journey back to health!

One thing you want to do before taking mineral and vitamins is to see if they interaction with the antibiotics.

Magnesium, in particular, can lower the concentration dosage of alot of antibiotics so you would want to space it two hours away from each other.

Homeopathic remedies need to be taken 20 minutes apart from anything else besides plain water.
