Hi,
I have these great oil of oregano drops that have really kept the fungal problems down.
The problem is it's strong and burns my throat when I swallow. Diluting with water doesn't help (it just spreads the oil around and doesn't really dilute it, oil and water doesn't really mix).
I've tried drinking water right afterwards and it helps get it down, but it still irritates. I'm not allergic, I just think the oil is strong.
Also, is it better to take away from food or with food? I've been trying it in the middle of meals, but I still have the burning.
Any suggestions??? Thanks!

I buy Oreganol brand. It's diluted with oil and doesn't burn at all.

Thanks, I'll look into taking those later on.
I'd like to finish taking what I have if I can. I have more than half a bottle left and it was expensive. It's 70% carvacrol and does seem to be doing the trick.

Maybe mix it with some coconut oil & put it in an empty capsule? You can sometimes find them at healthfood stores or order them on-line.
I never tried this but it might work.

That's a great idea. I was thinking the capsule would collapse with just a few drops of oil in it so I wasn't thinking about that.
Perhaps put the oregano oil in first than a dollop of some other oil. I want to make sure I maintain a consistent dosage.

My oil of oregano is un diluted by olive oil. I usually drink it in a milk substitute like coconut milk and follow with a glass of water.
Putting the drops onto bread, if you eat it, and washing down with water is another option.
Finally, you can add your drops to a teaspoon of olive oil.

I float the drops on top of water in a small glass which I think is a shot glass.
The oil never gets wasted on the side of the glass and there's enough water to keep it from burning on the way down.

- Prepared GEL CAPS are safest to avoid any burn. GAIA HERBS has a good one. -

I put oregano in a gel cap and swallow, been doing it for months with no problems. I prefer to take all my oils internally in a gel cap, cuz I can't stand the taste
