Also my doc wants me to take two a day for two days, once a week. I have only taken this once before, two one day and the one the next before I started herxing my butt off.
I am thinking just one pill to start or maybe a half? I really don't want to end up bed/couch bound like before.

I think it is still ok, but best consumed in September. There is always some overlap with expiry.

Call your pharmacist... or better yet, call a pharmacist at another pharmacy. No conflict of interest then!

The pharmacist is likely going to tell you to discard it because of the expiration date.
However, I had one doctor (who was a chemical engineer prior to becoming a doctor) tell me that drug expiration dates are largely arbitrary and most prescriptions can last longer than the expiration date suggests.
This is not the case with certain abx, however, because certain specific abx can break down into toxic substances.
I do not know if Flagyl is one of the abx that becomes toxic if it is too old - so consulting a pharmacist would be the only way to find out for sure.

Well, if it were me, I would take it. I would worry more about it being less effective rather than toxic. Flagyl is a pretty stable med.
