My LLMD sends the labs to Quest... she states they are good for the co-infections. Igenex is the best... but insurance does not typically cover Igenex... but it WILL pay for tests through Quest.

LabCorp found my Babesia Duncani. It's the only positive test I have had. Most of this is a clinical diagnosis anyway, so don't put too much faith in tests.

LabCorp sends Babesia Duncani tests out to Focus lab -- pretty sure that Focus Lab is the only lab that has a Babesia Duncani (WA-1) antibody test. Don't know if Quest offers that test or not.
Need to be tested for both Babesia Microti and Babesia Duncani.
Clongen lab offers PCR testing for Babesia species I think and Babs Duncani is a separate test. Think the F lab also offers this testing.
Personally I would request a bloodslide from Clongen. Test costs $195 plus $50 for test kit if it is shipped directly to you. The bloodslide might show other things such as possible bartonella as well as blood borne parasites.
If you plan to do an antibody test you should read up on the ECP test -- eosinophil cationic protein -- and maybe do that test at the same time.

There is no duncani test listed either at LabCorp or Focus websites. Can someone please say for sure if they do this test?
