Hello:
I have been taking cipro. 500mg/twice a day for 2 weeks now(for an infection unrelated to lyme).
Before i started the cipro I was getting air hunger from time to time and mostly at night.Around 2 days after starting cipro I started getting air hunger throughout the day and almost everyday.
I'd like to know if it's possible that this is a herx. Also, what do I do about the air hunger because this really bothers me.
Thanks,
Mariana

Air hunger is typically a Babesia symptom. Cipro mainly treats Bart. It's possible that treating Bart has uncovered more Babesia symptoms for you. This has happened to me a few times. Cipro has been a pretty useful drug for me. When I started it back in June, after a few weeks of terrible Bart herxes, I started to have very prominent babs symptoms. Babs has now taken over as the strongest infection , symptom wise. Ugh.
