I need some help understanding why my results come back contradicting itself depending on whether it was done according to real time PCR vs. ELISA IgG and IgM..

I'll see my LLMD in two weeks, but I'd like to have a better understanding of what I'm looking at.

If anyone can shed light on this, I'd really appreciate it.

EBV-VCA IgG Positive
EBV-EBNA IgG positive
EBV-EA-D IgM Equivocal, IgG pos.
HHV-6 Positive (15.12) Wow!
Mycoplasma pneum. IgM & IgG equivocal
Anaplasma phagocytophilum IgG equiv., IgM pos

All done by MDL
Thanks.

Where's the PCR and ELISA results??

You can take a positive ELISA to the bank. A positive PCR means NO DOUBT .. but it can come back negative even though you have Lyme.

The above numbers are my ELISA results. I didn't include the PCR results bc they're all negative.

All I see is EBV, HHV, mycoplasma and anaplasmosis. None of those is the ELISA .. ???

You definitely have infections that need to be treated.

PCR and ELISA are negative for lyme, but my CD57 is down at 46 leading me to think the chronic lyme is relapsing. Can having chronic lyme for over 15 years put a permanent dent in the CD 57 even after successful lyme treatment?

BTW- for the original tests I listed, the PCR's are all negative for those tests and the ELISA is obviously positive, as I have noted in the original post. Lyme is negative for both as of now.
