I usually take milk thistle, but I know it's contraindicated while on mepron...what else can you take?

I have been on Mepron for several months and I am not taking anything. My liver function tests have been fine.

Mine went way up on Mepron. Milk thistle did not help in my situation neither did NAC or ALA.
Even glutathione IV's which have kept my liver enzymes in the normal range on other tough medications didn't work well enough for me to be able to stay on Mepron.

one of my providers said it was, and the other said the only thing contraindicated on Mepron was CoQ10, because it feeds babesia.

I approached my LLNP on this and she said that milk thistle can slightly lower the effectiveness of mepron. She said the benefits of taking outweigh the risks.

While on the Lyme Meds including Mepron for Babs the only thing for the liver was plenty of lemon water.
Every glass had a quarter squeezed lemon (almost as over 2 years we missed some).
Her liver readings were fine the who time (zith and tindamax were in the mix).

The only thing that helped my liver e.'s was stopping Mepron and switching to Malarone.
Within a week my enzymes went back to normal.

Mine kept going up even while off everything. They finally stayed near normal (but not totally in the normal range) when I added Rifampin. Which leads me to believe it was Bartonella raising them.
