I'm just starting this today..(A little issue finding a pharmacy who could dispense it) Any personal experience about the best way to administer it. Do I warm it to room temp since it has to be kept in the fridge, etc. We are already doing B12 IM but the needle isn't as long or big as this one...the Bicillin injection at the doctors office given in the hip wasn't bad like I thought it would be.

Hey-
I did Bicllan LA for 9 months three times a week. I think they helped I am now on rochepin IM's to switch it up. I would take mine out about 15 mins before injection. I would also hoold the shot inbetween my hands and rub it for a few seconds.
Did your LLMD provide Lidocaine cream to numb the area before. I would put this on about 30-45 mins before.
Just make sure whoever is doing it is injecting its slowly. Also make sure the asperate back once injected to make sure that their is no blood.
After the shot is injected my fiance would rub the shot in really well. Then I would walk around to make sure it was well into the muscle.
IF it hurt me i would put an heating pad or an ice pack on it.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Are you taking a cyst buster with it,

Thanks for the info. Mine are once per week but at highest dose. I had real good days after the one last week at the doc office so I'm hoping for more good times.
Suggested cyst buster? Just called the pharmacy & the Lidocaine cream has to be prescribed. I have some Lidocaine in a bottle that I mixed with another abx...I'll try using some of it topically.

I usually take mine out of the fridge and place it under my arm for a few minutes to warm it up. While I am doing this I place a small bag of frozen peas on the area I will be injecting into.
Afterwards I aplly a heating pad for a few minutes. I am on my fourth month and they have definitely helped.
