I always get nervous before starting new drugs.

I will stop all drugs 3 days before and not resume until 3 days after 3 day Coartem run.

Do most people who do Coartem still do Malarone/Mepron?

Anyone have any advice or positive stories?

I am starting Coartem soon, too as soon as my liver enzymes return to normal. I will do the 3 day coartem regimen followed by 10 days of artemisinin every month. I will continue to take mino. daily as well as NAC, ALA and Vit.D. I am nervous, too.

Coartem was another ABX that did not do much for me. I did feel weird small sensations in my chest area. Close to something small popping & only by the second day. Thereafter, nothing.

I've only taken one round.

Please keep us posted on how you do.
