Hi guys!

I live in the worst city/state for mold. In my area, we are endemic for mold.

I have the dreaded HLA genotype 4-3-53 and cannot detox mold. Also, a recent DNA mouth swab of mine actually had mold on it!

My husband and I are doing some long-term planning and need to know:

What is the best area of the US to live if you have mold allergies?

Thanks so much for your help!

I would guess Arizona New Mexico or Nevada. It's rare to find mold here.

I agree, Nevada is the place to go. Any desert-type place.

Someone suggested The Big Island in Hawaii I believe on the west side awhile back. There's a very dry area there. It's somewhere on that island but I can't remember the exact town.

The Big Island was hit by the Tsunami. A lot of the shore front buildings are water damaged. I was there last winter visiting my friend and was getting mold hits like crazy. I was in Kona.

I agree about the desert.

Have friends on the Big Island, where I got the insect bite giving me Lyme and 7 co-infections.
When they leave the Island for some of the summertime on the mainland, they have to pack everything of fabric in containers with silica ---
if they don't they have moldy clothes, pillows, etc. when they get back there few months later.

Everything there is damp!!! I felt sticky every day.

Be careful with New Mexico, the winds still bring up some remnants from the bomb testing/explosions for decades ago.

Mold is a part of life. Excessive mold reminds us to clean up the toxins from the body. And EMF is making things much much worse when it comes to mold.

Speaking of insect bites, the first day I was there I got bit by some sort of bug. They were spraying for them when I got there.

Anyway started getting Bartonella symptoms about 5 days later. By the time I got home and back to the LLMD I had to start Bart treatment from square one pretty much.

I have wondered about that bug bite. Also met a guy there that totally had undiagnosed Lyme and co. Tried to point him in the right direction. You can lead a horse to water...

I had a feeling that there was really no escaping mold completely.

However, with my genetics, I can't live in an endemic area and expect to get well.

AZ sounds nice. I bet the sun would do me some good. I always get worse in the winter here in the midwest/southeast.
