I haven't had my hair highlighted in over a year but I really missed my lighter hair, last night at the salon I felt kinda dizzy while she did the bleaching, and now today I feel crappy.

Can i do something in case the bleach or ammonia made me feel bad?

Whatever makes you feel not so good, who knows.
Take any of the good binders - chlorella or diamotaceous earth or several charcoal, Garden of Life Detoxi Fiber, to bind the toxins that were kicked loose to move them out. The chemicals penetrate the skin and breathing.

Hope you like your hair and that it gives you a lift!

It may not be from the bleach because I am nearing my 4 week cycle when I usually feel bad and even if it is it is still worth it. I love my new color. I'll try extra detox

I'm so glad you like you're new color!

I use to be able to tolerate all the salon chemicals before being sick but not now.

These chemicals are airborne and get in your lungs (along with your scalp). On the rare occasions I go in, I try to go when other people aren't getting their hair processed like first thing in the morning.

I'd take NAC, drink a lot of water with lemon. Try not to overwhelm your body with chemicals to give it a break. Use scent-free, natural products (including laundry soap). Breath a lot of fresh air.

Items with added scent (natural or unnatural)can contain VOCs and neurotoxins that make a person feel checked-out and dizzy.

On the plus side, the bleach and ammonia should rinse out of your hair and flush out of your system.

PPD is really bad and that's in a lot of colors, I'm glad you don't have that in your hair.

I'm sure you'll be feeling better in a day or two.

Good luck!

I used to get all sorts of swollen lymph nodes, headaches and infections from bleaching.
My hairdresser recently tried a new product that is bleach free.
It is the closest thing to bleaching w/out the chemicals.
It was the first time I had no burning or pain. i will get the name for you if your interested.
It worked great!
