I have forgotten how this place can be a lifesaver. I have read several posts on this already and thank those who post as they were exactly what I needed to hear right down to the part about feeling horrible and wanting to die. I have plenty of Flagyl and also don't take much cuz no time for herx but now no choice. Have survived 3 days of 750 mg t.i.d. and now am dropping down to 500 t.i.d. I also got it early. Can someone please tell me the minimum length of time I might be able to get away with? I'm already feeling my yeast issues rearing their ugly head. Also, is the S. boulardi probiotic available OTC?

Yes, go to Walgreen's or CVS and buy some Florastor ASAP!!
Make sure you also have a high quality regular probiotic. Got a health food store nearby so you can get one that is refrigerated? Walgreen's or CVS may also have some refrigerated ones. Just ask.
I have no idea on length of time for c.diff treatment.

The ER gave me flagyl (500 mg 3 times per day)for 10 days for C. diff. If it comes back after that, they switch you to vancomycin.
The vanco is so expensive you can't believe it.
Take Florestor twice per day, And, use oil of oregano for yeast. Swish water with 2-3 drops of OofO in your mouth, then swallow. That is what my lyme doctor told me to do.
He also said you have to brush your teeth after using the O of O.
He also suggests detoxifying yourself.
