I think someone posted about what is a new test that is supposed to be the best for testing for bart.
I'm not sure if it's Galaxy labs and couldn't find the post.
I tested neg with IgeneX and Fry which I know isn't unusual and don't have a lot of symptoms for a clinical diagnosis.
Rifampin seemed to be knocking it out but had to stop because I couldn't sleep and have thought to find a different LLMD to get me through with meds for that.
So before starting rifampin again or getting A-Bart, I'm thinking of asking to get this new test.
Does anyone know whether it's the definitive test. Did people who tested negative before test positive this one?

Don't have any personal experience with bart testing, though, so can't answer your questions.

Yup, I was on their website, but not sure if it's the one I read about. Maybe the info wasn't posted here. Maybe another board.

Don't think there is any other lab with new bart testing. This is the only one of that description.

Thanks poppy, it must be the lab then.
Still wondering if anyone got tested positive there who didn't anywhere else?

Wow! Thanks SO much for this!
My loved one has never been tested for coinfections, and I highly suspect that she may have Bart. (Showed me some "purple stretch marks" on upper thigh a few years ago!)
I was really worried about testing, because I hear it's very elusive.
But Ouch! It's $360! Of course especially in Lyme testing, the old adage holds true - "you get what you pay for."

I don't personally believe any tickborne disease test will find all cases, just because there are species and strains that will not be known about or included.
So, although specialty labs may do better, I think there will still be some results that are false negative. Tests only find what they were designed to look for.
Not saying to skip testing if it is needed, and always go with better lab.

Thanks to both of you for info.
I guess I wouldn't spend the money out of pocket since it costs that much and could still be negative. I doubt that insurance would cover it, but I'll run it by my PCP.
Hope someone will come along who actually had the test and got a positive after testing negative on other tests.

I have heard from others that this test is highly accurate, but you need to do the triple draw (I think $500 and you have to have blood drawn on 3 days) and I think you have to be off abx for 4 weeks.

Goodness! The price would kind of rule it out for me since I doubt insurance would cover it.
