I am trying to get disability for people over 65 with chronic illness. I have Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease since 1987. I am having my 6th relapse of cute Lyme and 3 Coinfections. I also have two very bad knees that need replacements, 3 bulging discs in my back, chronic sinusites and diapression. They need to put me back on IV antibiotics however medicare will nto pay for me to do it at home, as I always have. Even though it will cost medicare more money they want me to go every day to a hospital for the infusion. I currently am paying for an aid to drive and help with everyday issues. I have learned that if I qualify for medicaid I can receive home care help and have the infusions at home, fully paid for. Anybody have a positive experience in NY with this issu?
