Ask your pharmacy for the price both with, and without the card. I found sometimes the cash price is less than using the card. Strange, I know.
Those cards are issued by Healthcare Alliance. I couldn't find any real info about who funds it other than what "they" claim on their website. You don't have to provide personal info but they already have your name and address to send you the card, coupled with a member ID number printed on the card....and some unknown entity is now tracking your prescription purchases (and can deduce whatever they want about your dx). Who and how that info will be used is a concern for me.
I checked a couple of prices and decided not to use the card.

What a waste.
My Dr Rx'd a med that wasn't covered by my insurance. The total cost was $110.
