Has anyone ever tried to stay on Flagyl without pulsing? I'm supposed to do that. I think I'll be able to......I haven't really had any type of horrible reaction or herx from it yet.

Yeah, I've been on Flagyl continuously since August 2011. Took me 4 months to ramp up to the 2 tablets/day my doctor wanted me on, and now I've been trying to ramp up to 3/day for 6 months and am stuck at 2 1/2 a day because when I go higher, I herx too much.
Take it slowly, this drug can hit spirochetes & cysts, and my LLMD says it also can hit Bart.

I'm not really herxing on it. I actually feel very slightly better in terms of mood and short spurts of energy. This bothers me because I really don't want to be on Flagyl long-term (because of the cancer risk). I refused to take it whatsoever for over a year and just recently gave in because I was getting desperate after trying so many things without any results.
Do you think the dose is too low for herxing? I'm on 750mg per day.

I pulse it two days a week. I had to build up to it gradually over 6 months.
After the initial fatigue reaction, I actually feel better on it. That was a good surprise.
