I'm trying to find ways to treat this naturally. I am on a very very low budget, and I just found that I have cat's claw and was wondering if it helps at all.
Thanks

Well you can got to STEPHEN HARROD BUHNER website He wrote a lot of books on using herbal medicine for lyme and co-infections http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/ he has a core protocol , CO-INFECTIONS PROTOCOL.He also did a question and answer at Marthas Vineyard Lyme Center Oct 2012 What herbs are recommended for babesia? Stephen generally recommends the use of Sida acuta or Alchornea cordifolia or Cryptolepis sanguinolenta for the treatment of babesia these days. You can get them from woodlandessence.com. His first choice is Sida actua, second is Cryptolepis sanguinolenta. Stephen no longer recommends artemisinin or artemisia for babesia infections. It can work, but whatever you are treating, Sida acuta will work better, especially for babesia or bartonella. Artemisinin use in Babesia treatment was pioneered by Dr. Zhang, a quite brilliant innovation at the time, but it has not resolved all types of Babesia with only about a 50% cure rate in our experience, therefore the switch in our recommendations to focus on Sida acuta as the primary treatment herb. See also: babesia. Dosages for current Babesia herbs Dear Stephen, Please post the dosage for Sida acuta, ailanthius and whatever else you are now recommending for babesia that is not in the bookThank you. Stephens response: Sida acuta: -1/2 tsp 3x daily, Ailanthus: from 5 drops 3x daily to tsp 3x daily. Sida acuta/ Cryptolepis/ Alchornea cordifolia blend: -1/2 tsp 3x daily. You could as well do tsp of each of these three tinctures 3x daily.

Ema, I'd say go ahead and take the cat's claw, as it's helpful for the immune system. It stimulates the white blood cells to phage (eat) bacteria.
Babesia lives in the red blood cells, so this isn't going to wipe it out. However, it may help with the Lyme and with viruses.
As you may recall, the Lyme bacteria live mostly in our nerve cells, so taking antibiotics can't possibly kill it all, as antibiotics stay in the bloodstream.
You need to do things that will strengthen the immune system, like eating well and getting enough sleep. You can take liver support supplements to provide the liver with what it needs to make glutathione, so that it can detoxify poisons.
You can take magnesium to try to replace what the Lyme bacteria uses up while living in our cells. All of our enzyme processes need magnesium. You can take Vitamin D3 to help the magnesium get absorbed.
You can take fish oil to improve the cell wall integrity. All nutrients must pass through the cell walls to reach the mitochondria, so they can make energy. All the waste products from this must pass back out through the cell walls to get back to the lymph and the blood.
You can take things that will reduce inflammation, and this will reduce headaches, pain, and fatigue. Systemic enzymes magnesium fish oil
I remember when we talked in the Lyme chat a couple years ago, that you told me which supplements you were taking, and they were all good ones. What are you taking now?

Just an udeucated thought , but I get a babs like herx with ivermectin and I believe it has been used around the world for babs - Africa especially .
I would not take it daily - it is slow to clear liver . I take it every other day the cheap equine version from Tractor Supply . I am taking far less asthma meds now. My guess is that it hits babs. If you take it every other day according to weight , you will do fine . I buy Durvet at Tractor Supply or amazon.
Also , I think Herb Pharm artemesia annua has been very helpful - the tincture is stronger than powder . I use it and like it .

Ema, Have you been able to increase the magnesium and the fish oil?
How are you doing with it?
