Anybody have just sore spots on head. Mine are mostly on the top towards the back. Also get grit or sand. Sometimes I get blood when I scratch so hard.
Doc says fibro and old age. Abx did not help. What have you tried?

I get sore spots too. They come and go. I usually notice them when I'm about to get really sick.

I have the same exact thing!! I thought I was the only one. They come and go all the time. Localized on the top, more towards the back. Let me ask you all, do you experience head pressure or sinus pressure?
I wonder if it is either from die off, the coxsackie I tested positive for (igg) or a hidden virus such as hhv6... So many weird things.

first time, for 10 days, this time for 7.
wonder if it could be part of a herx thing??

I would say the flagyl may have something to do with any increase in symptoms. When I took that I felt horrible! I was on IV rocephin for 4 days, flagyl 3 days each week. I felt much better on IV than flagyl. The flagyl days were always the worst.

For those of you that have this weird symptom, what have you been diagnosed with or have come back positive for? What have your doctors said? Mine went, "hmmm, interesting....."

I wonder if you took that "grit" or sand and put it under a microscope what it would be. A friend of mine did this and found out it was tiny parasites.
THe flagyl could be causing die off of the parasite causing them to try to leave your scalp?
Just a thought of course, it could be something totally different.
My son gets sore spots on his head, no grit but white flaky areas that are sort of round shape, not like ring worm though.
Wish I could say for sure what they are, we just keep treating and hoping that something will get rid of them.
While on anti parasitic herbs they were better, but we had to take a break due to increased anxiety.

Humaworm makes a cream/ointment for sores. I have never used it, but maybe worth a try.

Protomyxzoa causes sores on the head. I never had them myself but I have heard many others with PR do.

For me, the sores/scabs turned out to be parasites. IMO, and from personal experience, I think Lyme has a MAJOR parasitic component to it, and antiparasitics are KEY in getting rid of this awful disease.

Don't know the reliability of this site but it is interesting. According to them low zinc can be a cause. I wonder how many with sores on their head have KPU? http://scalpsores.net/Posts: 6286 | From Oregon | Registered: Jan 2006

I just read that article. I found the pH part interesting. I wonder if the sores are from too much baking soda in my detox baths?

My lyme doctor told me that flagyl kills many, many things including parasites. He said that is why so many people without lyme even find it a very hard drug to tolerate. So, I would seriously consider that this may be parasites.
For anybody who takes baking soda or epsom salts baths, you MUST rinse off with plain water after one of these baths. If you leave these products on the skin, it will be irritating.
