DD takes a very small dose of A-L. Trying to work up.

She just noticed that shortly after taking the drop her throat becomes filled with Phlegm. She says it makes her throat feel tight.

She is not able to clear this excess mucus or does not cough.

I read that A-L complex clears sinus and lungs. I wonder if this is a healing response?

She is very uncomfortable continuing the drops. She has an appointment soon and will discuss with her Dr. She has been on the drop for a couple of months.

She has been eating alot of bean sprouts and Mango too. So I wonder if it may be something she is eating and not the drops.

I am looking for experiences, thoughts, etc. I hate to have to stop another treatment. [Frown]

Many thanks for your time.

Just my personal opinion--it's hitting the lyme if she's getting phlegm. Making her throat feel tight could be something else too, eg, maybe she's developed some reflux. When I had reflux, anything that could aggravate it would also make my throat feel like there was something hard lodged in it that wouldn't go down. I also had bad phlegm then as well. It was usually worse at night too.

You can see if she gets the same tight throat response from acid forming foods: garlic, tomatoes, chocolate, etc. The BW formulas are alcohol based, so that would definitely bother her if she has acid reflux.

If that's the case, I would focus on things for reflux, DGL, oatmeal, honey (if she doesn't have yeast), zinc. Zinc helped me a lot. Also, filtered aloe vera juice, mastic gum. All will help heal the gut. I actually suspected I had hpylori, so all of these things helped me.

Does she dilute the A-L in water? I think if I had reflux again I would try taking just a small amt of rice, or bread or quinoa a couple of minutes before I did the drops.

I don't know if this works, but it's just a suggestion. Maybe she could apply it to a small area of her skin. Everything you put on your skin gets into your body. I don't think it passes through the liver though, but it's worth trying, IMO. If she doesn't feel or notice any benefit doing it that way, she could try upping the dose since it's only going on her skin. In the mean time, try giving her some zinc, fast (lyme patients are generally low in zinc).

Also, I would try emailing the Byron White website.

Mango is a cousin of poison oak I'm pretty sure and a lot of people are allergic to the skin. The oil made my lips swell up horrible one time. I would take it out of her diet and see what happens.

Anything that makes the throat feel tight is cause for concern. She could be suffering an allergic reaction. If this is the case to continue using the drops could be very dangerous.

Her doctor should be contacted before continuing.

Thanks for the replies. I do not think it is true throat tightness.

It is more excess phlegm that makes her throat feel full and of course uncomfortable.

I would listen to the teleconference coming up on March 13th that Byron WHite is giving. 5:30pm . You have to sign up on their website so they can send you the number and code. THey say that there will be a question and answer section. I got hiccups too and couldn't figure out why since I never get them.

Is anyone improving on Byron White products ? Any evidence to support the protocol being effective?
