My labs for Babesia Microti IGG came back as High at 1:128 my IGM seems normal at <1:20. My doctor is starting me on Mepron and Zithromax. It says it is a past infection. I have many of the symptoms of Babesia, does this mean I am positive? I don't meet with my doctor for two more weeks to go over my labs. She had her nurse call in the meds for me.

In my opinion if you are symptomatic then I think you do in fact have babesia. The IgG versus IgM is not always reliable as to whether an infection is actually active or not. Babesia can be a chronic infection and I think your doc is being smart to treat you.
Good luck.

P.S. Your response to treatment will be a good indicator of whether or not the infection is active.
