Hi there! My dd has Lyme and Babesia... and her Mycoplasma titers for both IgM and IgG are super high. Does anyone have any ideas for treating Babesia and Mycoplasma for an 8yo child that does not involve the macrolides (zith, biaxin, etc)?
We are unable to tolerate any macrolide... they cause insomnia that causes us to be practically nonfunctional and horrible anxiety. It seems the more we try to take them the more sensitive and intolerant we become...
We have a phone appt with our LLMD and I wanted to go into it with some ideas/options. I did a search and came across Bactrim/artemisinin combo for the Babs. I am clueless on what to do for the Mycoplasma. I know doxy is not really an option due to her age...
Her Lyme is congenital and it breaks my heart everyday

Hi there, I was in your shoes several years ago when all three of my young children were very sick with lyme. We tried abx for 2 years but it was very hard on them so we switched to herbs and that is what worked better. If you want to know how we healed, send me a pm.
There are two good herbal approaches for babesia that worked for us. Agrisept-L is GSE and that hits babs very well but works slowly. You would ramp up to about 8 drops twice daily for her. But start with one twice daily.
A more complex but faster approach is to take the Klinghardt cocktail. It hits babs very well and works fast but there are a lot of ingredients and it is more work to make.
I am having good success getting rid of mycoplasma with salt/C. I have started my children on it as well. It seems to hit bacteria very well, and not just lyme. There is a good book about that protocol on amazon.com.
I never thought the herbs would work but now I wish I had tried that approach first.

Have you tried any Researched Nutritional products for mycoplasma?

Thank you so much tick battler and ktkdommer...
We use a little oil of oregano and love it... we also have her on milk thistle, curcurmin, querticin, probiotics, vit d, NAC, and alpha lipoic acid.
I have Paradise Herbs GSE - but I am scared to use it and have not opened it I have Olive Leaf extract - unopened...also scared to use it lol. I need to become brave and try some of these... I didn't know they were good against Mycoplasma Thank you for these ideas....I am glad i have some options ready to discuss at the LLMD appointment this week.
There is a Klinghardt associate in our area - do you think the money would be well spent? Are they effective in their approach?
We have used Researched Nutritionals for glutathione and we have tried their Transfer Factor sensitive - but it gave us vivid disturbing dreams and made us feel weird. I will ask her LLMD if there are any of their other products we should try - thanks! I am such a medication side effect wimp...
Can you take mepron without a macrolide? We have the mepron - just can't ramp up on any of the biaxin or zith. So we have been on hold with the Mepron...
We also have a just turned three year old that also tested positive via Western Blot. We have only been able to get her to take omnicef (strong-willed about the way medicine tastes). We have seen rapid improvements in her autistic-like behavior... and for that we are so thankful.
It is so scary having my daughters take all this medication and supplements without knowing any of the long term effects. Thank you both so much again for these suggestions. They help me feel like I have a little control back
