I've been on mepron for about 5 months now and can't hardly breathe without it. My dr just told me my cpap test shows that I need oxygen at night so I seem to be losing the battle.
Should I try salt c next? Can I take that with mepron?

I am not a doctor, but if I was not responding to tx with other drugs, I would try the salt/c.
I tried to look up any interactionw between Mepron and salt/c but couldn't find any info on it. I would also run it by your doctor to get his/her opinion.
That being said, if you do decide to try it, in your case I would start with 1/8 tsp sea salt and 1/8 tsp vitamin c powder with bioflavinoids in a glass of water.
Take it away from your Mepron dose. It antiparasitic, and I have found it to be quite effective against these infections including babs.
Salt/c and antiparasittic herbs saved my life when nothing else worked. I hope and pray that it would do the same for you. Keep us posted.

P. S.
I also would pose that question at lymestrategies the salt/c group. Folks there also take pharma drugs.

Babesia caused tremendous shortness of breath for my daughter..she ended up increasing the mepron to 2tsp and had to take it with biaxin so as not to build a resistance to the mepron. She found that using cryptolepiis really helped with her symptoms.. After 6 months on mepron then follow up.with crypto she finally got over it and that was 2 years ago.

Has anyone here heard of salt/C helping with babs and bart? Wouldn't we have heard about it if it did?

salt/c and antiparasitic herbs helped me get rid of bart and babs. I have seen a few people post here in the past that they thought the salt/c got rid of their babs. Sea salt is antiparasitic so it's a possibility for sure.

I have been on Mepron for years. I do small doses of salt/C and have not had any trouble.
I take Mepron AND Malarone (plus usual abx and Art, GSE) and it has not been enough to beat Babs. I'm ordering Cryptolepsis and Sida Acuta.
I'm also treating for Protomyxzoa Rheumatica. I have symptoms but have not tested for it. I need the antiparasitics and biofilm busters, so treatment can only help.

Woodland Essence has both Cryptolepsis and Sida Acuta in stock. I just ordered these yesterday. My boys have been treating babs for 2.5 years. Time to try more things.

Some people have protomyxzoa (actually, I think a lot of people do). The symptoms for it are similar to babs. Nefferdun posted the symptoms a few months ago.
I tested negative for it at the time of my test (had been eating low fat), but I still followed a low fat diet to reduce biofilms. My diet was and is not as strict as Dr. F's, but the more fat I cut, the better I felt.
I feel better eating low fat. Reducing fat is so helpful in attacking babs, or anything else for that matter (IMO). If it cuts and lowers the biofilm, then your meds or salt c can get in to kill off the co infections (just my opinion, but it makes sense).
Patients are instructed to take oil or eat a fatty meal while on mepron or malarone. I think this is a big mistake, because I think it produces more biofilm which ultimately helps the babs and other cos to hide from the meds. I came to this conclusion after reading an interview with Dr. F on line. The oil and fat just protects them, not us. We don't need the oil or fat. That's just something the pharmaceutical companies tell the docs. I got better with no oil or fatty meal.
The herbs helped me too, but I have to rotate them. My babs symptoms started to come back around 2 to 3 weeks, so I switched over to another herb every few weeks.
Also, you can't just cut a few fatty things out of your diet. It means serious focus on cutting the oils, butters, fat out (check out Dr. F's info on protomyxzoa). I would have done anything to get rid of my babs. Cutting the fat was a no brainer. Once I did that, my babs started to improve. And once I added salt/c, it got even better. Now I only have a small amt of babs left, which I plan to attack with parasitic meds. Since babs is a parasite, I'm hoping this will eradicate it completely.
