I had the flu Thursday to Friday and also the worse sore throat ever of my life I finally had to get on antibiotics for a throat and sinus infection on top of it all [Frown] I haven't been able to talk for 4 days ....

I feel so discourage on abx when I was JUST getting yeast under control

I completely stopped cortisol since sick which I think is a bad thing to do too

me hon. first week my temp ran 103.5 and husband was 102. i had raging chills, fever, nausea,. then it went into acute bronchitis with violent coughing up green and yellow junk.

i was wheezing so loud he couldn't sleep and i couldn't either. i had to sit up.

now it looks like walking pneumonia and we're monitoring it closely.

i'm improving but very slowly. i was put on biaxin twice a day. it took a week for it to start working.

i was housebound for almost two complete weeks with only one visit to the doctor!! almost drove me crazy but i was in bed most of the time. still tire very easily.

"I completely stopped cortisol since sick which I think is a bad thing to do too"

Why did you do that? What dose were you on?
If you were taking it for adrenal insufficiency, an endocrinologist will tell you to increase rather than decrease your dose during illness (esp. with a fever).

Google "Addison's" and "stress dose"

Laid up too..

Saturday night felt this odd tickle in my throat - ignored it all day Sunday and went for a hike and cleaned the house and then crashed.

Sick sick sick this morning....Can't recall the last time I had the flu. Off abx.s so hoping it is not a lyme flare up or re-exposure from hiking.

Lungs feel funky too. No fever but all other classic flu symptoms. Your not alone..

I was in bed for 5 days. It took 2-3 days before I wanted to leave the house. Worst case I have ever had.

Terrible neuro symptoms increase, dr. gave me IV Rocephin to help combat.

Non-Lyme friends were usually laid up for 2-3 day most.

Remember sickness makes your Lyme symptoms worse.

Hope you are feeling better. Sometimes you just have to fight through it.

Good point EWT. Since getting the flu (or whatever it is), my neuro symptoms have really flared up. The typical scalp/face neuralgia full blown.

I am off abx.s but you got me thinking to go back on now since the nasties are probably having a party.

This flu season is the worst. I have not had the flu in 20 years.
