I am CDC+ (IGeneX) for Lyme, which I have had for over 15 yrs. I've been treated with oral meds and bicillin shots. I am now briefly off of all meds, but am considering iv antibiotics.
I have GERD (awaken in a.m. with acid in my mouth and feel like my teeth have become smooth, despite PPI's/Zantac and following GERD guidelines). Also, I've had pain in my gallbladder area (scan in past was normal, except for supernormal contraction 96%) off and on for years. Now, the mild pain has not gone away, despite low-fat diet.
Anyone have similar symptoms resolve on iv antibiotics? Any other suggestions would be welcomed.
If you know of a Lyme-friendly gastroenterologist in or around the Boston area, kindly e-mail me privately. I'd like another opinion, in addition to the gastroenterologist I have seen for years.
Thanx, Heartof14k

I've had my GERD go away with treatment for lyme AND parasites AND FUNGUS. Absolutely this can be infection related, despite what the standard docs might say.
I can't speak personally to the gallbladder pain, I haven't had that.
Be aware that the zantac drugs and the like just make things worse. It's something you'll want to wean off as soon as practical.
Xymogen's GlutAloeMine really helped heal from this. Some here will warn you against gluatmine and/or aloe in some circumstances, and this supplement has both (and more) so be aware of that, but if those things aren't a problem for you, it can be very healing.
I needed very high dose nystatin to put a dent in my issue, a dose most docs would be extremely hesitant to prescribe. This is part of how the zantac and the like sucker you in to dependency, as they are low-level antifungals (in addition to destroying your ability to make acid).
