My path to a dx for Lyme was through Candidiasis which overwhelmed me last Feb., and which I have not been able to recover from.

My Dr. tested me for Candida allergy; I'm on desensitization drops for it. Does anyone know if there's any hope of ridding myself of it while on abx? I'm on 500mg Cipro bid, 500mg Azith., 3 Malarone bid, and a MRSA ointment for sinuses.

I've eaten sugar-free since March '12, and sugar-free/gluten free since May '12. I don't cheat. Any suggestions appreciated.

Parasite treatment helps. Also, do you have any amalgams? I recently removed some, and it helped a little with the yeast. Also your diet. Starches feed yeast.

Coconut oil or capryllic acid is a great way to combat fungus, and there are many other benefits to using coconut oil in your diet.

Grapefruit seed extract, oregano, olive leaf extract, lemongrass, garlic, thyme - all are antifungal herbs that can help with controlling or getting rid of candida.

Biotin, taken in huge doses (8000mcg or more daily ~ Thorne Research Biotin 8 has 8000mcg/capsule, and I've seen other companies with large dose Biotin products as well), can help keep the candida from reverting to the more difficult to kill spore form...thus making it easier to eradicate.

Thorne's SF722 helped me bring levels down when I first was tackling candida and I may try it again soon!

I am assuming that you are taking plenty of probiotics?

Razzle's list of antifungal herbs is a good one, and pau d'arco tea is antifungal (and pleasant to drink too!)

Are you open to prescription anti fungals? Ketoconazole is the only thing for me that keeps Candida at bay, despite doing anti fungal herbs and diet.

Toxicity, mainly toxic heavy metals, cause candida. As long as you are metal toxic, the body will continue to grow more candida in order to protect itself from the lethal metals.

But in order to get the metals out, you need to treat parasites which are holding the toxic metals, huge amounts, in their skins.

Parasites first, and right alongside treating toxic metals, it the better way to go. Candida and fungi will show for a day here and there, but are then treated quickly as the load is coming down. The more parasites and thus the toxic metals you eliminate, the easier it is to reduce the candida load.

You can get rid of candida loads during this process by doing colonics. Colonics remove a lot of candida and you can watch it happen.

You have to remove the cause of the candida overgrowth -- which are the toxic metals/mercury/lead/cadmium -- antifungals will not work long term nor will diet alone --- the metals are the cause.

Lufenuron works apparently well, but I have no evidence that it is permanent, unless metals are removed. It will help take the toxic load off for the time being. And metals cause a lot more problems besides candida if they are not removed.

It took me a few years to learn and believe this.
www.klinghardtacademy.com Read "Heavy Metals and Chronic Disease". It was published in the late 1990's.

Best to you.

Good luck.

Be sure you are on high quality probiotics... at LEAST 100 billion CFU's per day.

Do you also eat low carb?
